CATALOGUING-IN-PUBLICATION
(CIP) DATA
Cataloging-In-Publication (CIP) Data is a voluntary programme of co-operation between the National Library of Jamaica and the local publishing industry. This programme allows for the creation of a bibliographic record for a book that has not yet been published. When the book is published, the publisher includes the CIP data on the copyright page, and this facilitates prompt distribution of the cataloguing information to libraries and book dealers.
