TENOR SAW (1966 – 1988)

Clive Bright and raised in the Payne Avenue district of West Kingston, he
recorded his debut single Roll Call in 1984 for George Phang’s Powerhouse
label. In 1985, he released the hits Lots of Sign and Pumpkin Belly,
Run Come Call Me and Fever. However none compared to the classic
anthem Ring the Alarm which he voiced over Winston Riley’s Stalag
rhythm for the Techniques label. He continued to record throughout the rest of
the 1980s.
In August 1988, he was killed by a speeding car in Houston, Texas.
